Transfer News- Gaitan, van Wolfswinkel & Eriksen on United’s radar

Let us forget about Sneidjer for a while.. and take a look on United latest transfer rumours..

1) Nicolas Gaitan, 23 – Benfica midfielder

He is currently under United’s favorite super agent, Jorge Mendes that delivered Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, David de Gea and Bebe to Old Trafford in the past eight years. Now, he is brokering the deal which is likely to see Benfica’s Argentinian midfielder Nicolas Gaitan sign for Sir Alex Ferguson at a price of €35m (£29.3m) next summer.

Report said that United entered negotiations for the player in November but Benfica were holding out for €45m – the amount of Gaitan’s release clause – due to the players former club Boca Juniors being entitled to 20% of any sale.

However, the report also claimed that the two clubs have now agreed a deal thought to be worth around €35m (£29.3m) which will see the midfielder move at the end of the season.

Must be a good player but…I think..no more Argentinian in United please….(remember Heinze that want to go to Liverpool & Teves to City???)

2) Christian Eriksen, 19 -Ajax midfielder

Manchester United assistant coach Rene Meulensteen admits Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen is a player the club are keeping an eye on.
Eriksen is considered to be a contender, with the 19-year-old Denmark international billed as a hot prospect for the future.

3) Ricky van Wolfswinkel, 22 – Sporting Lisbon striker

He is Dutch footballer who currently with Sporting Lisbon and already scored 11 times in all competitions this season. He is a versatile player who can play either as a striker or as an attacking midfielder, though he favours the striker role.

(Van) de Gea almost the Devil!

At last, Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that he hope that United will completed the signing of David de Gea as the right successor to Van der Sar at Old Trafford.

The fee believed to be in the region of £17m and will makes the 20-year-old De Gea, who is yet to win a cap for Spain, the second most expensive goalkeeper in football history behind Gianluigi Buffon, who swapped Parma for Juventus in a deal worth around £32m in 2001.

” He’s a young goalkeeper, very quick, good composure, presence, and an outstanding replacement for Van der Sar,”

“We were looking for the same type of qualities as Edwin, because the one great quality Edwin always had was his composure and organisational ability. With David De Gea, he is very similar that way.”

He is young but not really lack of experience. He has been part of a provisional 30-man Spain’s World cup winning squad and already played in UEFA Europa League cup final and UEFA Super Cup. He played consistently with Altletico Madrid and should be a better choice than Neuer.

However, the main things that I am worried about him..
1) Either he is ready to withstand the pressure of playing with the biggest club in world or not.
2) Spanish player always dream to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona!

Yeah!

David de Gea for United?

Good enough for United next season?

I think he is..but I am not sure either he is ready for the pressure to win in every match. England’s hot prospect, Ben Foster failed miserably during his time at United.

£16m is the price and you can watch here on how good he is..
Enjoy..
