Scored against United, you will be transferred back to Chivas! – SAF “warned” Chicarito

Javier Hernandez is confident he can buck the trend and succeed in the Barclays Premier League with Manchester United.
Previous young Mexico such as Dos Santos & Vela failed to make an impact with Hotspurs & Gooners.
His first appearance will be against MLS All Star at Reliant Stadium tomorrow morning, Malaysia time.

About playing with Manutd;

Hernandez said: “It’s an honour because I want to achieve big things. It’s a very nice challenge and hopefully I will be able to contribute. I will always try to enjoy it because sometimes we focus so much on the achievements and our dreams, and maybe we forget to enjoy it.”

“Besides wanting to do the best job I can, grow and learn plenty, I also want to add my little grain of sand because this is a team sport. I want to win a title. I want us to be a great team.”

About playing in EPL;

“I have spoken to them ( Vela & Dos Santos) and they are definitely happy for me and they know that this is the most powerful league in the world. They tell me to take advantage of the situation and I should thank God for the opportunity.

About the pressure playing with the biggest football club in the world;

“I always try to see pressure in a different way – more like motivation. There are millions of people in the world who would do anything to be in my position and have this opportunity.

About playing with football legends such as Ryan Giggs & Scholes;

“These are people I would watch on the television, that I would even play with them on PlayStation,”
“I dreamed of one day being able to play with all of them and I’m going to try to learn from them the most I can.

After playing against MLS All-Star, Manutd will travel to Mexico and playing against Hernandez’s former club, Chivas Guadalajara on Saturday to mark the opening of tits new 45,000-capacity stadium.

Ferguson reveals that the striker will play “one half for Chivas and one half for Manutd”.
However, when asked what he would do if Hernandez scored against United, the manager joked:

“He’ll be fined and transferred back.”

Hahaha…Good one SAF!

Interview with Ryan Giggs during America & Canada Tour

Manchester United’s living legend, Ryan Giggs is probably the most popular figure in United tour to America.

After arrived at Kansas City, he took a few minutes in front of the camera to discuss the Red Devils American tour, expectations of playing in KC and trying to sneak in some BBQ.

Read and you will realize that Manchester United nutritionist’s rule over the players’ diets were quite strict.

On playing in Kansas City:

“We’re all looking forward to it, looking to seeing what Kansas City is like as a city, what the teams going to be like and what the games going to be like, so you know, we’re all looking forward to it.”

“By then, it will be our third or fourth game, so we should be getting much fitness and we should be performing towards our best, so hopefully a good game, lots of goals and lots of enjoyment and just leave Kansas City with a lot of good memories for the fans.”

On American soccer and Major League Soccer:

“I think I probably took a lot more interest when David Beckham came over, because obviously I played with him, he’s a friend, so I took an interest on how football’s gone over here. Judging by the USA’s performance in the World Cup, football is healthier and very strong because they’ve got a lot of quality, both as individuals and as a team. Obviously it’s growing all the time and hopefully it will be successful. I’m sure it will because the fans that come to our games are fanatical and they know their stuff and the facilities are second-to-none as well.

On KC’s famous BBQ:

“I think our nutritionists and our dietitian probably is a bit worried about us coming to the USA, because the food is just unbelievable. Hopefully we can sneak under the radar and have a few barbeques.”

In another session, he has been interviewed by the official MLS website (mlssoccer.com) about Philadelphia, 2010 AT&T MLS All-Star Game on July 28 in Houston..and… Philly cheesesteak???;

On American soccer

“Judging by the USA’s performance in the World Cup, [they are] very strong because they’ve got a lot of quality, both as individuals and as a team. Obviously it’s growing all the time, and hopefully it will be successful. I’m sure it will because the fans that come to our games are fanatical and they know their stuff, and the facilities are second-to-none.”

On Landon Donovan in England.

“I think it was interesting when Landon Donovan came over because we heard he was probably the top player in the USA and how he was going to do in the Premiership, and he did really well. [He’s] probably not the stereotype American football/soccer player that’s been over before. I think he was skillful and he handled himself well, and the fans at Everton loved him and wanted him to come back.”

On the match against young Philadelphia Union on July 21.

“They’ll want to test themselves against one of the biggest clubs in the world and we’re still in training and we’ll want to win every game like I say. It’ll be interesting to see how the game goes. If we can help them in any way to progress quicker, just by the way we play or just by the way we train and prepare for games, then hopefully we can do that.”

On Philly and Philly cheese steak.

“It’s my third time that I’ve been there. The things that come to mind [in Philly], we stay at the hotel which is at the bottom of the steps where Rocky runs up. We went to see a baseball game when we were last there. The stadium [Lincoln Financial], it was a new stadium when we played there. I think we might have even been the first team to play there, so the facilities are unbelievable. I don’t know about our nutritionist allowing us to eat Philly cheese steaks, so, maybe we’ll get a chance this time.

It’s a draw and Manutd didn’t lose!! Should United panic??

I don’t understand why the media give too much attention for Community Shield this season. When Manutd barely scored in last season Community Shield…nobody said that Portsmouth will fight for the title!! But…why this season when United scored 2 goals…dominated in the 1st half although without Van der Sar & Vidic…and people keeps talking about this is the end of United and everybody said that..Liverpool might win this season Premier League. Hahahahaha.. what a sick joke!! Chelsea needs a referee to make it 2-2 while United play it fair to get the result.

I watched the match..losing is hurt but I don’t think that I am worried with the result. It’s a good match for United especially in the first half. Chelsea as expected were quite slow and old… United players can easily take the ball from their leg either from the back..from side..or in front. Nothing to worry…but in the 2nd half…United players look tired and can’t continue playing the same match as 1st half. No more quick move..quick tackle..and its cost United dearly.

Afterall…it’s only a friendly match & I am feeling the same as United losing the Audi Cup against Bayern in penalty.

Hopefully… Manutd is ready for the start of season against Birmingham!! A goal feast will make everybody shut up and hopefully United can do it. Micheal Owen’s goal will make it sweeter!!

Let’s the game beginnnn….

Chelsea 2 United 2 (4-1 on pens)

The Community Shield was prised from United’s grasp in an enthralling clash at Wembley, a game that required a penalty shoot-out to separate two evenly-matched sides. Despite this defeat, 4-1 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time, the Reds’ performance provides plenty of promise for the season ahead.

Nani had given United the lead with a long-range effort after just ten minutes, then Ricardo Carvalho equalised shortly after half-time. But in a competition that used to be called the Charity Shield, there was little charity in Chelsea’s second. As Patrice Evra lay prostrate on the ground after a bad Michael Ballack challenge, referee Chris Foy neglected to stop play and Frank Lampard scored what everyone thought was the winner. That was until substitute Ryan Giggs picked out Wayne Rooney’s run, and the Reds forward expertly finished to send the tie to the lottery of spot-kicks.
