Manchester United Fan In Malaysia

Our PM is Manchester United fan. And he needs youth to attend his event at Putrajaya.
What to do?? Oh yeah… it is easy! Put giant screen at Dataran Perbadanan Putrajaya Holding (Opposite Palace of Justice) and invite all fan to watch the UEFA Champions League Final match with him!!

The organizer will arrange some event while waiting for the match the start and you could win some cool stuffs!

The draw for the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League was made at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, and Manchester United have drawn against French champions Marseille – a side which now includes former Red Devil defender Gabriel Heinze.

It is good to see we managed to avoid AC Milan in the draw because it is the only team that worried me.

The last time Manutd and Marseille met in the same competition was in the 1999/00 season. We won 2-1 at Old Trafford, but lost 1-0 at Stade Velodrome.

If you feel that this is not a good draw, please realize that Arsenal get mighty Barcelona & Tottenham get AC Milan in the round of 16!! However, Chelsea got an easiest draw of the round against FC Copenhagen.

Champions’ League group stage has been completed. It is good to know who may be United next opponent in knockout stage that will start in February. Nine clubs will definitely be avoided because they are either fellow Group Winners (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Schalke 04, Bayern Munich and Shakhtar Donetsk) , Premier League clubs (Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal) and Valencia who were in the same group as United in the first round.

So, the next opponent for United therefore comes down to one of these 6 clubs;

Inter Milan, AC Milan, AS Roma, Lyon, Marseilles, FC Copenhagen

Three from Italy, two from France and a surprise from Denmark. Who might be your choice?
I hope we can avoid AC Milan. Others should be fine.
But if we get FC Copenhagen…we can start talk about quarterfinal just after the draw!

Chelsea & Tottenham will have almost same selection with United but it is going to be a tough draw for Arsenal that might choose between these 4 clubs with 3 of them were big fat giant!
They were Barcelona, Real Madrid, Schalke 04 & Bayern Munich.

The full draw will be made by UEFA on Friday December 17.
