The draw ended at about 1.00am Malaysia time. By comparison with other English clubs.. Manutd get the toughest draw!!
Manchester Utd face tough trips to CSKA Moscow, Besiktas and Wolfsburg with others English rivals..Liverpool with another tough draw in Lyon, Fiorentina and Hungarian side Debreceni.
Chelsea will be happy with their draw as it’s Jose Mourinho’s old club FC Porto, Atletico Madrid and Cypriot side APOEL; while Arsenal are also sitting pretty as they face Dutch champions AZ Alkmaar, Olympiakos and Belgian side Standard Liege.
Another trip to Moscow will be brings sweet memory but long away trip to Russia’s capital and Turkey is something that Sir Alex might hate it.
However, I don’t see any problem for United to advance. Its still considered as easy draw compared to being in the same group with Real Madrid or Juventus.
In the same ceremony, Manutd’s goalkeeper – Edwin Van der Sar has been named as UEFA Club Goalkeeper of the Year while John Terry got the defendar award, Xabi as the best midfielder and as expected… Lionel Messi as the best forward.

The Group Stage draw takes place at 12:00 am Malaysia time on Friday August 28th!
Tonight will saw the final decision as to who will compete in the eagerly anticipated group phase.
Here we bring you the pots for the group stage. Bear in mind how the draw works:
* Each of the eight groups, A through H, comprises one team from each pot.
* Teams from the same national association cannot be drawn into the same group. So, for example, if AC Milan are drawn into Pot 1 of a given group, Inter will be excluded from the possible opponents of that group even though they are in a different pot.
* Teams from the same national association will be split across days. So, as England is providing four teams, two will play on Tuesday nights and two on Wednesdays. As Russia provides two teams, one will play on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday. These will be split via a colour-coded system that makes groups A-D ‘Red’ and groups E-H ‘Blue’. These colours have no bearing on seedings or ranking – simply on splitting countries’ teams. These splits are for the purpose of maximising TV exposure.
* The colour coding above will also influence who plays at home and who plays away on any given matchday, so that (for example) AC Milan and Inter will play at home on alternating weeks.
With that made clear, here are the pots. Teams are given in order of their UEFA co-efficient ranking.
