Manchester United Fan In Malaysia

Media outlets today received Nike teaser images ahead of the launch on July 1 and on sale from July 16. These images are in semi-darkness, and reveal little about the new design. You can also see it at Manutd.com.

The players will be wearing the kit for the first time during their pre-season tour of Asia next month against Malaysia XI ( Yes! Be proud about it). The squad fly out to the Far East on 16 July – the day the kit goes on sale and if you already pre-orders the kit from official website, they will also delivered the kit on that date.

From the teaser images… what can i say??..it is almost the same with some of the leaked design that I have shown in one of my post.

A black ‘v-shape’ stripe features on the shirt’s chest, which also features a black round-neck collar. The stripe is reminiscent of shirts worn by Manchester United during the 1908-09 season, when they reached the FA Cup final.

“The new Manchester United home kit has been designed by Nike to recognise the clubs glorious history at Old Trafford in the ground’s centenary year and features several design cues that pay homage to the side that first played at the Theatre of Dreams,” read a release issued on behalf of Nike.

The socks are black but appear to have a red V stretching around the back, similar to the V on the front of the shirt. The white shorts have a thick red stripe running down the outside.

The teaser images still carry the logo of AIG, the American insurance giants, whose contract with the Premier League champions expires at the end of next season.

I think that I am going to wear last season kit for next season until Manutd released 2010/11 kit with new sponsor AON!…

Manchester United will face Malaysia Selection at Bukit Jalil Stadium this July 18. As a Manchester United fan that stayed only 4km from Bukit Jalil Stadium, I don’t have to worry about accommodation or where to stay in Kuala Lumpur.

In less than 5 minutes driving, I already at the stadium!! Hahaha..

But if you are not living around Klang Valley, I can give you some tips on how to get there and where to stay in bargain price.

OK…first…how to go to the stadium…

It is pretty easy! If you are from the KLIA airport or Putrajaya Station, you can take ERL or KLIA Express and stop at Tasik Selatan Station.
Then change to Star LRT ( RapidKL ) to Bukit Jalil Station.
The station situated just outside the stadium.

And..if you are from Kuala Lumpur City Centre, you can take train or monorail near your hotel and change to Start LRT (RapidKL) in any interchange. ( See LRT Map )

How about hotel???

Hotel rates in Kuala Lumpur were from as low as USD20. However, high star hotel might cost more than USD100.

If you need a good bargain price, you can book the hotel online because most hotel gives good discount as high as 70% if booking online. Furthermore, if you visit Accor Hotels City Super Sale, you will be able to take advantage of savings of up to 60% if you book on-line between 23 – 29 June, for stays between July 10 and September 30, 2009 with rates starting as low as US$25 per night.

There are 2 hotels available in their list that is Novotel Hotel and Pullman Putrajaya. Between these 2 hotels, Novotel was more expensive but have easier access to Bukit Jalil Stadium because it is near Raja Chulan Monorail Station.

I have three ultimate dreams in my life that I want to achieve before I turn big four zero. One is to get myself a super bike and tour Malaysia if not the world, two is to visit the Old Trafford and three, to visit the Old Trafford with my super bike.
