Well first thing you should know about singing bowls, is that they originated in Tibet around 1000 years ago. They appear to be based on similar items that have been found in Asia and India as far as 3,000 years ago, but they had a slightly different use then the singing bowls of the Tibetan’s. The use of singing bowls in the Tibetan Culture is often credited to a sect of shamans called “Bon” who used them in their rituals.

When they where first created, they were made of either five seven or nine different metals. The main metals that they used were iron, tin, copper, mercury, silver and gold. But it also believed that some of the first singing bowls also had metals from meteorites in them.

Singing bowls, are often made using the same metals that the Tibetan’s used back in ancient times however some of it was Crystal Singing Bowls. But they use casts to ensure that they are uniform in nature, making them all easy to use, and you won’t have to learn how to play each individual singing bowl, which can be a great help to people who are time poor.
