Jose Mourinho has blasted the choice of Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo as European Footballer of the Year.

The Inter Milan coach scored a double public relations own goal by criticising a fellow countryman and snubbing any Italian players for the award.

Portugal international Ronaldo helped United to win the Premier League and Champions League in May but Mourinho said: ‘I have no praise for Ronaldo.

‘I would have preferred one of my own foreign players to have won the Ballon d’Or.’

Inter are six points ahead of second place Juventus in Serie A but Mourinho would not say which of his overseas players he felt deserved the award more than Ronaldo – Dailymail.

I think Mourinho was drunk during this interview. When he is at Chelsea, he said that Drogba & Lampard were two best player in the world. Now…Inter oversea players??..emmmm…this guy can’t be serious. He just want to be heard again after everybody forget about him. Inter not even qualified from group stage yet in this season Champions League when others top team already advance (ehem..such as the reighning champion, Manutd..ehemm..ehemm..). How can such a team have the best player in Europe. Pheewww!
